The Old Folks Home

Slavery is illegal. Just sayin' :old
Oh ... right. I guess maybe you'll have to buy one of those machine splitters then. They aren't very versatile unlike your past splitters but they do have the advantage of only needing to be fed when they are actually working.

I don't like store bought white bread, all DW usually buys.
And DW won't buy you some real bread if you ask? I won't buy white bread either.

Actually, I read somewhere that you CAN grow square watermelon... You place it (the melon) in a square container as it grows and it will conform to the container shape.
Yep, they do it in Japan. Another method of spending WAY too much money on a special gift for someone. Apparently the Japanese are quite expert at "the perfect, and ridiculously expensive, gift is the only thing that is acceptable".

I am considering selling some. I am feeling more confident that I my pictures are getting good enough to sell.
You are well past "good enough to sell"!

Al, he finds burials, so marks the head to toe (or toe to head) of the grave. He senses the disturbance/shift in the earth, not necessarily the body or the stone. Many did not have stones, anyway.

He found 20 +/-3 burials. In the 1950s a group went around and wrote down all that was seen in each cemetery. This one had 10 stones. It is very common for a cemetery to have unmarked graves. Many times stones were unaffordable or even in this area, difficult to get. Portland didnt get their first stonecutter until 1800 (Bartlett Adams), so stones before that had to be sent away for and shipped. Most didn't have the money for that.

How do I find someone who does that? I have a cemetery where my whatever great grandmother is buried, the little abandoned cemetery in Texas. I would like to get it fenced. My mom and I were discussing how to choose fence size.. . Part of this plot was cholera mass grave, and part never had markers, and a bunch of the markers were bulldozed into a creek bed or something (yep, :rant haven't found those... the cemetery is in the middle of a hay field and pasture).

So, it would be nice to know where the bodies actually are.

They are WAY good enough! You should maybe remove them from the internet or at least watermark them before people start snagging them. Just sayin'

maybe used wood markers?

Maybe. Some here in Texas used homemade concrete that they decorated with pretty shiny river stones or local seashells.

The only feeding when working sounds nice! :clap Maybe a machine is the way to go!

See? Not just me... you have some great photos.

Yes, wood markers or fieldstones.

Al, contact the local historical society, the cemetery committee or even anyone in the area listed as a contact for the association for gravestone studies. Someone should know someone.
I tried contacting the local cemetery society several times... they suck.

Not mean... just horrible difficult to track them down... then refuse to help me out. Even though I said I would pay for their time.

just got back from my three month exam... Post surgery.... Doc said everything was fine... And he wasn't surprised I had a hernia... above my belly button.... about six inches.... No pain but it definitely was from the surgery...

NOPE no one will touch it to fix it till I loose a ""Boat Load of Weight"" especially since its not bothering me....

Oh well. I can live with a lumpy midsection....
