The Old Folks Home

That's a beautiful scarf Cap. My daughter has recently taken up crocheting... She has epilepsy, somewhat controlled, and severe anxiety disorder due to it and other complications. She said it has really helped her focus and relaxation/de-stressing. I'm glad that she's found something other than drugs to help. Wish there was more I could do...

It takes several days to make a scarf. About one skein of yarn, depending on how wide and long it is.
I do find it relaxing but after a while my hands start to get tired.

This is the one i made for hubby.

Very talented!

Did you send him a bill when he sent you one?

No. Pharmacists have always been the free healthcare provider, although some are starting to charge for services. Over my career I have seen countless rashes, sores and wounds and talked about bodily functions with complete strangers to see if it could be treated OTC or if they need to see a prescriber. I've three times had human poo brought to me (or a picture of it). This is what we do.
Once a dad came back to my pharmacy and thanked me for suggesting his daughter hat Hot Tub Folliculitis (she did) after discussing her rash, and that she needed antibiotics, stat. He was so very grateful I was in the pharmacy that day. It was really nice of him to come back.

I'm so glad she found an outlet. Sewing really helps my anxiety, too (although on rare occasion adds to it). You can support her and her new hobby and snuggle into your new blanket when you get it!
How are your birds doing by the way? I may have missed the outcome due to Miss Piggy's untimely "sickness." This morning she was finally in the corner of the brooder, away from the heat lamp, and had had a snack last night before BF turned out the lights. I'll keep an eye on her today but I'm more and more convinced the little snot was just faking it to get babied inside and out of the Maine winter.

For those of you who have not read about it on other threads, hubby buried my old dog Charlie today after he passed away in his sleep. He will be missed.

I am so sorry. :hugs

I got devastating news last night. Remember my fun weekend plans? Well the fun part was postponed due to weather and now it looks like my weekend is going to suck. How's Detroit this time of year? I'm likely to be stuck there for at least a day, weather wise, too. :barnie
