micro, don't tell the fellows around here that a 35 hp tractor doesn't cut it as far as ambiance is concerned. That IS ambiance as far as they're concerned. Remember me saying I need to start a John Deere Anonymous group for the men around here? It's true.

I think mine is actually similar now but she laid through her first and I think possibly even second winter. And she’s consistently been the last to stop laying and the first to start up again. And a daily layer of large eggs.
Get an EE rooster and hope you can hatch some girls just like that! Of course if it doesn't work you have a LOT of chickens to get rid of.

Our's is a Mahindra. No JD Green on our farm. Mahindra Red!;)

We had been watching a movie before heading out on 'The Virginian' So I was in cowboy/wild west mode. Good movie. Trace Adkins in the title role. DH bought me a custom made western rig for my long barrel revolver about ten Christmas' ago. Made me want to strap it on and go lookin' for some lowly possums to draw down on!

DH swears by his 1948 Ford 8N. He mows, plows, and hauls with it, and can easily and cheaply fix anything that goes wrong with it. It’s getting a brake job before winter snow plowing begins.

It does add to the ambiance and I must say, it’s a thrifty and handy machine. Too much exhaust, but you can’t have everything.

I visited my 88-year-Old MIL today and her caregiver, a young woman, asked me a chicken question. She wanted to know if all the eggs were okay to eat or if some had chickens in them.

OMG! What do these kids learn in school? And in Vermont? Though I think she is from New Hampshire- could that explain it?
