The Old Folks Home

I had PT today. Don't have to go back for 2 weeks :celebrate Celebrated by hitting 'The Crossing and Salvation Army Thrift Stores' then went to Orschelns to stock up on pine chips and find some nice work gloves that would fit my tiny little hands....geesh they think everyone who lives on a farm has farmer Brown hands as big as skillets. Got home after picking up prescriptions and buying some groceries. Told DH I was all shopped out and didn't care if I didn't see Kirksville for at least two weeks.

I must have spent 30 minutes trying to find Betadine at Orschelns. Finally asked them after strolling down every pet and livestock isle they possess and they admitted that no, they didn't have it. :barnie I finally found a bottle at our pharmacy...which is the first place I should have looked.

Diets. Weightwatchers...yay. Adkins....nay. Low carb/healthy carb diet, yay. Also what helped me the most was actually measuring out my servings. 15 potato chips = a serving, yep, counted out 15 and quit. Meat serving 4-6 oz. Yep, on the scale it went. I found that when you actually find yourself looking a a 'serving' of food you realize just how big of servings you have been eating. Most of all it just takes will power. You can do it if you want to.

I definitely eat wayyyyy too big of servings usually but also all the wrong things lately. Sometimes I cook but I go through spurts between cooking a lot and not cooking at all. :lau :hide

Lately has been a lot of bread, sugar (mostly jelly but also sweets), and no vegetables. :hide

Well SOME of us do! I have to get the XLs and even then the fingers aren't always long enough.

i believe you have hit the nail on the head with both statements. Same thing with quitting an addiction.
