Killington should be opening soon. They "pride" themselves on the length of the ski season even if they only have one trail open and spend a fortune making snow on it until the temps stay cold enough for it not to melt and the real stuff shows up.

they made snow, and then got 4-6” on top of it. Then summer came back, and now all this rain. They’re projecting mid-November.

I guess there is a big problem here with alcohol abuse within the Amish community. Yep, they drink and drive...their buggies. Although I've yet to see a county mounty pull one over.....but then I've only seen a sheriff's car on our road twice in two years and once was to confirm a motor cycle that DH was working on was really several boxes of parts and a rolling chassis. Seems like here in MO if you have a rolling chassis and want to get it registered, you have to have a law enforcement official confirm that you really have a box o parts and a rolling chassis. The guy rolled into our drive way, took a look in the open garage door at the bike where DH was working on it, said, yep, that is a motorcycle and left. Who knows why. It's just the way they do things here.

Nope. Good guess but it's to check the serial numbers to make sure the bike isn't altered or hot. Which it wasn't. It was just a box o parts waiting to be put together.
