We are pretty unexcited about the forecast down here, too. Vermont does NOT want rain in December. Spoils the Christmas-card look. We are going skiing tomorrow - DH’s birthday and it won’t be raining at that altitude (though it will on Tuesday).

The big question is to plow or not to plow? We had about 2-3 inches unplowed, and he decided to go ahead and plow it. So bring on the Zamboni after the rain! We have buckets of sand, too.
We chose to leave the snow alone. It didn't rain at all until 3 PM so we shouldn't get too much. But since it is above freezing the "Christmas-card look" has a definite "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" quality. The alpacas and chickens didn't mind though. Supposed to stay above freezing until late afternoon Tuesday. Then the ice rink will start :sick

It is way too busy on weekends for sure

Yep! As they say, every day is Saturday. That must be why I jumped in the car yesterday at 11:50 hoping to make it to the post office on time. Yeah, yesterday. I guess every day isn’t Saturday!

Yay....:weewith my sons help I just finished two Pressure Canner loads of Turkey broth.... After we both got used to the unaccustomed sounds coming from the stove its almost Calming in a way hearing the boil and the weight rocking back and forth.

I am already working on laying out a work station to suit my needs... I still am waiting for the canner to give me the go ahead for unloading. OH and I canned 16 half pints... They are for me and I cant eat much ...
