The Old Folks Home

Unless your gas is propane and costs $4.25/gallon

you can proof your bread on the counter ;)

And made up for last year it sounds like.

I saw a flock of robins at the in-laws yesterday. Don't these birds know they were supposed to migrate to warmer places by now?

:gig Funny how things change when the shoe is on the other foot.

Really sorry to hear you are still sick Cap; and DD, you don't need all of that either. Tell it to go away and not come back.
The Robin's delayed their departure from the looks of things here. We have been having huge flocks of them daily, usually in the evening.
I would gladly get better, if only I could. I fear my birds are suffering from lack of attention. Have to drag myself outside despite the lovely weather we have been having.

Good morning folks! Merry belated Christmas. We went to DDs house Christmas Eve and came home yesterday. Last night DH started feeling like crap. Few hours later it was me. He's already feeling better so I hope you are feeling better today Diva. We probably had similar bugs although we didn't have the vertigo. I'm hoping to get some motivation today but so far I've spent the whole day in my jammies. Christmas day was fun with the grands and I'm really glad all of my projects are done for now. Totally awesome, all of it. Love the Grinch blanket!

I am better, think most of my symptoms are from having an old, old mattress from the '70s. My son got me a Roomba which is just an expensive toy for me. Hope I can get him to return it and maybe be able to get a new mattress :idunno

The vertigo just comes and goes when it wants too. I once checked it on med sites and it said if you had it when you were young, it comes back more often and stronger when you are old. Thanks a lot!

They try so hard to take the fun out of aging - too bad, I'm off to find some new fun.

There is a rule that the kids can only play with Play-Doh, and Slime outside. They can go on the patio, on the patio table, but NOT in the house. The Slime was added to the rule, when the 8 year old was bouncing it on my walls, and it left splotches that had to be cleaned. At times, my daughter thought I was a bit unreasonable about this rule. After all, it only happened once, it was cleaned up, and my grandson knows not to bounce it on the walls now.

The youngest granddaughter, got some slime for Christmas. Her mother opened the container, squished it a minute, then put it back in the container, and put it up, to be played with outside, at a later time. She did not know there was a 6 pack of the stuff. My youngest granddaughter knew. She got the rest out, and was playing with it, tossing it in the air, and catching it. No one knew she had it, or was playing with it. I walked into the play area, and almost fainted. She had tossed it up, and into the ceiling fan. The fan flung slime everywhere. I screamed for her mother to come clean it up.

My daughter may have gotten out of helping me clean the house, and get it ready for Christmas. She may have gotten out of helping me cook Christmas dinner. She may have gotten out of helping clean up after Christmas dinner. BUT by golly, she had to clean every square inch of my walls in the play area, the ceiling fan, and a few of the toys in there. Suddenly, my unreasonable rule about that kind of stuff having to be played with outside, isn't tough enough. The new rule, according to her, is that there will be NO SLIME anywhere on the property, ever.

Weird day Xmas ,woke up with stomach pains, rib pains, pain in lower back & headache. Don't know what I did to deserve that. Then later had major vertigo attack & vomiting.
Maybe I'm working through all the carp, so the New Year won't have any.:fl
I hope you feel better!
