@ronott1 it isn't anything that a weeks worth of rest and an industrial size barrel of Voltaren Gel and Solonpas lidocaine rub won't fix....if that doesn't work, there are always good old steroids.
Glad your chicks and duckling are doing well,
@getaclue. I caved tonight and when I turned my eggs, did a quick candling to see if there was any sign of development. Lo and behold saw 8 out of 9 with tiny little spider vein embryos in them at 3 days no less. One bantam egg didn't have anything going on yet but I'm holding out hope. I won't check them again until Sunday when I plan to turn them over to the mothers in waiting.
We have had a gorgeous Luna Moth take up residency on our kitchen window for the past three days. By the size of it we think it is a gravid she. She moves about a foot around the screen during the day but has shown no inclination of leaving. I told DH talk about a bummer life. Emerge from your cocoon in the spring, immediately breed, never eat in your winged state, if you are a female, lay eggs then die...the end. I'll have to see if I can get a picture of her.
