The Old Folks Home

Sorry I know this post is old now but my brothers and I loved our N64! It was always so much fun!! :D

Now I might have to dig it out 😂🤣

We loved Mario, Super Smash Bros, Madden, etc. older DB loved Zelda. There was some other one we played too that I can’t remember the name of. Some jungle thing with quick sand haha

Lots of fun. :D :love
Sounds like it could be Donkey Kong

-sigh-

No idea... I would guess a couple days after exposure....

But, are you asking for yourself????
:fl
Yep. The scenario:
DW works in one location, Manager has that and another slightly larger location where they reside. We are talking small numbers of people. Someone in the other location and their spouse stupidly took a trip to TN, a nice hotbed of Covid, 2 weeks ago and against all state regs did NOT stay home when they returned  "Someone" was in their location all last week (not DW's location) and in daily contact with Manager. Apparently Manager actually knew "someone" had gone to TN and didn't self isolate 14 days

Saturday Manager comes to DW's location to help the other person there. Wasn't real close to DW but was there 1.5 hours. DW got a call Sunday night that "someone's" spouse with "cold like symptoms" had tested positive on Friday, results just in. At that point DW was 2 contacts away from the Covid positive person.

DW and I immediately split up, I'm in the bedroom at the other end of the house so IF "someone" was positive AND passed it on to Manager AND if DW got it she'd have had it about 18 hours, thus the question. Trying to figure out if there is any chance I could have picked it up if DW was infected since doing so would seriously screw up my life and that of others even if I personally never suffered any symptoms. Timing wise do I dare deliver eggs to my regular customers on Friday? And do I dare do any shopping Friday, as I have been doing every other week for the past couple of months, for DW's 87 Y/O mother and 95 Y/O father who live in a tightly controlled retirement community? So far the community has stayed clean.

"Someone" got tested Monday - got the call from Manager tonight, quelle surprise - positive. Oh, and she thinks maybe those "allergy symptoms" she had the last week or so might not be allergy related. YA THINK!?!?!?!

So now DW is 1 contact away from a positive. Manager and others in the other location will now have to get tested (tomorrow I guess, results maybe Sat??) and IF Manager is positive, DW and the person Manager was helping in DW's location will have to get tested. DW is immune compromised with RA, the other person in her location is a cancer survivor.

There are going to be a WHOLE lot of unhappy "customers" when Manager's "essential service" location doesn't open tomorrow. I have no idea how that will be handled. Even if they send in a cleaning squad, there wouldn't be people available who know that location well enough to run it until they find out if anyone else at that location got it from "someone".

I would SO dearly love to :smack:smack:smack:smack:smack:smack:smack:smack:smack"someone", their spouse and Manager straight to the moon. And from there on to Mars.
STUPID EFFING PEOPLE!

Update, DW and I donated blood a month ago now almost for the free covid antibodies test. DW received her results days later. Nothing for me..waited...waited..sent a email...still nothing..waited.. Finally called Red Cross.
It was a automatic computer thing, didn't think Les and Leslie could be a male name...
😆
Anyway we both came back negative for covid antibodies.
We'll donate again in August. Something we've always wanted to do this just gave us the kick in the butt.
DW donated twice in high school.
I only did once in boot camp cause we were told if we donated wouldn't get 'smoked' all day
.. Should've seen the line of volunteers that day 😆 I bet it's always one of their best #s.

@bruceha2000 I sure hope everything is okay for you and your wife. I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with it. All it takes is just one person stopping at the 7/11 who has the virus for everyone in that store to be exposed. The domino principle is so right on where the spread of disease is concerned.

Prayers sent. Stay safe. And give my best wishes to your wife.

My juvenile delinquent half Fayoumi rooster, Trouble, tried his first crow tonight. 7 weeks old. His full blooded brother is two weeks overdue but has been intimidated by his bully brother for so long that I wonder when the little guy will try his vocal cords out. I have to say that Trouble has got the saddest excuse for a crow at the moment than any bird I've heard. Sounds like an old man clearing his throat and hocking up a loogie.

I'm the same way I have 47chickens about to be 49chickens because of my rooster rescueing I have a batchler coop for in need roosters that currently has 6 residents that will turn to 8 residents tomorrow and i also have 7guineas, 8ducks, 18turkeys, 147quail and 60quail eggs in the incubater that my 10yo daughter ordered without permission and that is just my birds I also have 3bunnies 2beagles, 4cats, 3leopard frogs, fish, crayfish oh and a baby possum my daughter just rescued from the cat earlier today that we are nursing back to health and relocating when it is better its actually really sweet but between my daughter and I my husband is at his wits end he said no more animals except roosters it is not easy to say no to some things but i have to
Welcome to the old folks home!

You have quite a lot of pets! Very nice

Our second time camping this yr. Decided to spend a little xtra and rent a little cabin this time. No electricity or anything at this campground still but DW figured maybe sleeping would be better. Wasn't. Beds sucked. DW said she couldn't sleep cause all she heard was me flip over every 15mins. I said I think I fell asleep for a bit just before I had to flip over all night long over and over... Kids slept great. Still spent the day swimming and BBQing and fishing, Smores on the fire just before DW said were packing everything up and sleeping on our own beds tonight.
No cell service anywhere near. Never paid much attention to it but did see a sign they had a phone for emergency use.
Had to take a pic when I saw it turning the cabin keys into the lock box.

Hopefully your tests will come back negative!

So many people do not take this seriously which is creating new vectors. I am sorry you guys are caught up in this
