There was something about a govt card coming to the house in my "you have mail coming" USPS email some days ago. Haven't seen anything and have no idea what it is for. MAYBE for DD1 since she, as a dependent, wasn't eligible for the money last year. But she wasn't a dependent for 2020 so MAYBE they are sending her a $600 card instead of direct depositing it like they did for us?? That would be somewhat problematic since she is at school in Canada.

it involves paralysis of her arm, and fingers, on top of a bad case of covid.

So she had Covid when they gave her the vaccine!

We are heading into the deep freeze which is unusual for February. They are predicting -7 for the middle of next week. Oh joy, I can hardly wait!

I did see something about SUPER low cold hitting parts of the country, the midwest specifically.

We are still trying to get the damaged fence and posts out of the back yard that went down in the roof avalanche.

Do you have a roof rake? It helps a lot to keep those avalanches from happening.

She said you have to seek chowder for the cold ones.

Yes my monthly SS is direct deposit but what may have happened I had been with one bank forever they where bought out when I was trying to get a loan to repair the roof new bank said no.. I said bye, so did change to a credit union who gave us the loan

Ah, that could be it. I guess there is some process with SS to change the bank info but likely isn't the first thing one thinks about when they change banks.

No roof rake. I doubt if it would help anyway as that section of roof is 40 foot wide thanks to the overhang that covers the back porch. The approach is weird also so no matter what we do we would still be inundated with an avalanche of some sort.

Still fighting off the creeping crud but slowly feeling better. I get this every year--lucky me. For some reason this year is just worse than usual.

Here's the laugh for the day. I keep getting these suggestions for 'similar threads' under my response box area. Sorry for the big cut and paste but this is just chuckleatious. Look closely at the dates of the last post and the subjects.

Every time I log on I keep hoping they either a)disappear or b) get with the program with suggestions for some more current and relevant threads.

I looked at some of them and I think one or two are locked threads. I mean......duh....

Our big high for next week is 15. Low is -8 with a rebound of 8 above for a high.

I can really live without this cold weather.

Not about to give the govt my account numbers. It wouldn't be prudent and, frankly, not giving them the access opportunity nor means to snoop around in there should they decide to do so.

The Goverment now is not one to look into ones account in my view and admit I am lazy every month it is there but this was a bit odd as the last one went to the bank
