Yeah, it is tough to lose one; it's the first chick I've lost.

A week ago, I would have been in tears. Losing our dog Mara made me a bit numb. I'm still sad.

I have 3 bouncy, chirpy chicks right now. It's a beautiful morning.

Really sorry you lost a chick, but glad you have three you can focus on.

Morning OF. Wouldn't you know it? No rain all day yesterday so I was hoping to get out and mow today, then... the patter patter of rain hitting the roof began last night which developed into a steady downpour. No mowing today and soggy runs.

I would still give them honey water with electrolytes in it just for today,

Sadly, one of my new chicks died last night between midnight and 5 am. RIP, tiny girl.
