Huge copperhead was run over by a car (they backed up and run over it several times) then stopped to warn me they were out and about. They claimed it was a cotton mouth but the pattern didn't bear them out. Big even copper ovals on the back and copper head. I don't like venomous snakes at all.
They are certainly not on the endangered species list here. I've seen more rat snakes. Saw an eastern king snake and reported it, so conservancy can track their movement. Saw a black indigo the year I moved it. And that's it. Rattlesnakes keep to pine wooded areas, and I'm surrounded by hardwoods so I don't expect to see one of those any time soon.Morning Do you see many there in the state there ?
