Here you go back in the timber this time of the year and you'll find Robins hunting down dried berries in bushes. Not sure if they are Service Berries but I've eaten them and they are good. I imagine dried the sugar is condensed quite a bit.They know it is still going to be cold up here!
Though I've seen some robins, which is crazy this time of year. I have no idea what they will eat because there surely are no bugs.
Tonight when I went out to lock up the coop there was a robin singing in the big fir tree by our house, Geese were honking to the south, it had just stopped raining and smelled like spring. and yep, we still have a winter storm warning out for tomorrow and -1 tomorrow night. Today it was 60. Crazy weather.
