Good afternoon, OF. Wind blowing to beat the band down here. Got about a quarter inch of rain during the night.

Yikes, National Weather Service says your Gulf Coast region is really in for it storm-wise! Even tornado alerts for some areas. Lots of major snow/blizzard conditions for the Plains & Midwest, too; all-o'y'all stay safe out there!

Ok.... slogging through my work load....


And... in the past I have always used TurboTax to do my taxes.

In the past, you would download it onto your computer.... work on it whenever... then when you were sure you were finished, then you could choose to file.

So, the only times you were connected to the internet... were:
1. When you first downloaded it
2. Every time you opened it, it would check for updates...
3. When you filed

But NOW, (from what I understand from reviews), you logon to an ONLINE account, and so all of your info is up there in cyberspace.... also, impossible now to use the one down load for multiple people. Because, you can only file under the one name that is on the online account.

So... I have been looking.... H&R block doesn't look any better. Also, eventhough it says it will let you put last year's info from TurboTax into H&R block software... reviews say that doesn't work, AND reviews say some forms are missing, AND reviews say the program will not let you change numbers that are automatically put into forms.

So....

I want a tax software like the OLD TurboTax. All downloaded onto my computer.....

Anyone have anything that they like?

Here's a couple I've used to do my adult son's, hubs, and mine. I think they're pretty much the same pricing for doing itemized or state. I used Turbo Tax too and I'm sorry to hear this change.

Couldn't sleep so I got up and checked the weather. Now we have gone from thunder storms to a tornado watch. Not sure how to watch for a tornado in the dark.

I've heard some people hear them before they see them. They sound like a train I guess. I dunno but I've been in the basement in my life so many times I learned so here in the spare bedroom in the basement there's a drawer in a dresser with emergency stuff in it, like Hershey's with Almonds, flashlights, etc.
