Sorry SallyI spent nearly two hours at the Social Security office, sitting and waiting. I had to turn in a form that I couldn't file online (so I'd read), and it took me all of 5 minutes, once I got to talk to a person.![]()

I'm up but not quite 'at em' yet.Good morning OF. Up and at em.
I haven't drawn mine yet. Still typing transcription and drawing pension for another year then might apply. I'd be 64+ so pretty decent amt. I'd go longer but I'm worrying lately. No biggie, really. I'm all set now to get Social Security. That makes me feel a bit old. But 30+ years ago when hubby and I set up our IRAs, we were thinking that SS might not even be around by the time we got to "that" age. So it actually feels like a gift, of sorts.
As a friend told me, "Yeah, but you earned it, so enjoy it."
That's downright mean to tempt you like that! I hope he was being funny!Sally, I need to do the same sometime this week.
Dh went to the Dr. this morning, which meant I had to take grandson to bus stop. Before Dh left, he asked if I wanted him to bring back some donuts. NO! I got grandson up at the right time, then 8 mins. before it was time to go, I started the truck to warm it up a bit, and turned the seat heaters on. Got grandson to the bus stop, and Dh shows up with a box of donuts. Why did he even show up there, since I had it well covered? He kept insisting we had to eat a donut, but we didn't want a donut, which I had already told Dh, before he got them. Besides that, I don't allow food, or syrupy drinks in my new truck. He knows the rules. So he swoops in with his Super Hero complex, and gives donuts to everyone at the bus stop.
I guess it was sort of good thing he showed up, because one of the neighbor's dogs got out, and one of the people at the bus stop had put the dog in their car. When the bus came to get the kids, the guy followed Dh to the dog's home, and returned him.
Sooooooo, Dh's doctor report was good. BP good, glucose good, heart good, etc. Humana pays for a diet program. Yeah, Dh is in dire need of being on a diet again, but that's not exactly what they put him on. It's a weekly shot, and a daily pill. That's the diet program. This man has the gall to stand in front of me, claiming to be on a diet, when over the past several months, I've lost 48 lbs., but I worked for it. I did the hunger pains at first, until my stomach shrunk. I've drooled while saying no to sweets, and that extra little helping of favorite foods, etc. He's talking about being on a diet consisiting of a weekly shot, and a daily pill, WHILE EATING ANOTHER DONUT! @#($*&@&^$($* GRRRRRRRR! Still, the fool doesn't understand why I got the urge to choke him.
