The Old Folks Home

Good afternoon Old Folks. I'm feeling my age after 6 hours of work out side today. Break time while we get supplies from town.
One day when she was in her late 80;s Mom complained to me that she could only work 3 or 4 hours without having to take a break and rest up. I assured her that most people her age didn't work that many hours in a week.

My mom was cutting her own grass at 80 with a self propelled electric start mower. I'm less than 3 years from that and at least have a John Deere garden tractor to mow 3 acres here. I'm never make it walking with bone to bone hips now. I hope I can get them replaced but the doc thinks they may not can because of a stent in my heart. I'm not taking no for an answer yet.

I'm not tired now, I'm fully TARED. That's a next step up from tired. That's when I sit in my chair until I can walk again. I will feel better in an hour or so after I ate a good meal of ground beef hash along with a medley of cauliflower and broccoli with a cheese sauce. A large of sugar free tea to replace the water I sweat out today.

Wishing everyone (and especially to the Old Folks) a splendid evening and a good night of rest.

I'm in El Paso, TX.

I never bothered add a location since I don't see a need too.
I think it comes in handy for weather. Like if I say we're getting a blizzard tomorrow, you see I'm in WI and you're far as heck away from that! LOL.

It sure helps when people have issues with their chickens or coops, etc., if we can see what state or country they're in as well. Also, any cold relevant advice I give to those in cold states can see I am from one of them.

The closest town to us has a gardening group on Facebook. It's kind of boring but sometimes they have something cool. I like their new idea!

Goodnight Old Folks. It's been a good day in spite of finding muscles I have that are talking trash to me now. I hit them with a cocktail of doc prescribed meds plus arthritis strength Tylenol as suggested by my primary doc. He had a very painful surgery him self and that's what he did so I'm been doing it an it seems to be a big help rather than just depend on a pain med at bedtime.

Differences in Generations as they relate to work.

We only covered: Baby boomers, Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z

"Alpha"? That's a new one on me. Why call these young 'uns Alphas? Guess this solid Boomer (1953) should ask her Millennial kids...
