The Old Folks Home

Makes sense. Our food crops are loving this rain because we had some really intense heat and zero rain this past week lol I think it rained a little bit Friday finally and then really came down yesterday lol
Hope everyone up your way got all they needed for the week.

It went to 101° on our porch and breathing was quite difficult. It was easier to handle 50 years ago. Must go out now in the 96° heat with only fair conditions. Chicken water fountains must be dumped and replaced with fresh water every afternoon. Then the last thing to need water is two rows of okra after I plant missing places in the rows that are over a couple of feet long.

We are getting close to 100F! It is just after 3pm. I am going out to check on the chickens soon.

The heat zaps the appetite and it's even hard to drink water. Last winter I got dangerous dehydration. No less then a gal. Of water a day in the winter.. How much now. I'm hot in air conditioning and drinking more makes me sweat in the air conditioning, I feel like a leaking strainer. Not complaining, just scared sometimes.
