Welcome to SueG and DebiR! Yes, I gave Debi a little poke, just to get her headed to where she needed to be anyway.......Sue? Well, as far as I know, she found her way without a poke! LOL!
Sue- I was a groomer, as well! I even had a chest high bathtub installed in the basement of our last home to groom from there. That never really panned out as I got tired of the long hours, the smell and the hair before I started doing it out of my home. I have to admit though, it was the best money I had ever seen to that point in my life and for a long time afterward. I groomed out of a pet shop that provided me with the space, cages, dryers, water and electric. I provided the comsumables (shampoo, dip, cologne, etc. which they sold me at cost) and the clippers and blades. They took 10% of the total and the rest was mine. The store even made appointments and would handle the customers for me if I was busy (and I was ALWAYS busy!)
Speaking of recipes- I know that you all probably have made these before but it was my first time making them. We (three boys) call them "Chicken Balls" I put chunks of cooked chicken (boiled or canned would do) and sliced mushrooms on the fat end of a crescent roll. I added onion, salt and pepper and was tempted to include a bit of butter but didn't. Roll them up and put them in a casserole dish that was sprayed with Pam and add Cream of Chicken and/or Cream of Mushroom soup to the pan. If there are leftover mushrooms, chicken, or onion, that can go in the soup. Top the balls with cheeze and cook at 350 until the crescents are brown (20 - 30 minutes.) You can also put the cheeze in the soup or in the balls with the chicken....yummy and fun for the kids to help with.....
