The Olive-Egger thread!

SueMuffin, I couldn't candle many of my Olive Eggers eggs either. Many of them were just way too dark for my flashlight

Illia, Please share the make and model of the awesome flashlight are you using... I'm totally gonna have to get me one of those!

BEST of luck on your hatch, SueMuffin!

I use a very old slide projector as a candler. It is the ONLY thing I can see through my darkest Marans eggs and olive eggs with!

I tell you, though - I can see through my darkest Marans eggs easier than my olive green eggs for some reason...

Future Olive Eggers. Wheaton Marans Roo over Wheaton Ameraucana hen. Shipped eggs from Halo in FL to me in MD. Only 2 out of 12 hatched. I think my temps were off in the first few days. PLEASE one be a HEN! Both came out of glossy blue eggs, both have feathered legs.
