I have a blue Ameraucana...this is my first time ever hatching her eggs cause she has just started laying really well...I will definately be posting when they hatch and will also post pics cause I know on BYC you cant mention chicks without pics... so they are due around the 4 of March for hatch date!

If you cross a BCM and an EE and get an Olive egg, Will that chick that hatched from that egg have olive eggs?

ALL of my welsummer cross Olive Eggers look just like welsummers with beards. Yellow legs and all. I used wheaten ameraucanas and wild type partridge EEs. The hens are not incredibly large- probably smaller than either welsummers or ameraucanas at 6 months. They're cute though- I would say they are "spritely" if that is a word.

Well this is the first part of the Olive Egger process.... I have just now gotten the Welsummer/Blue Ameraucana eggs hatching.... then when and If I get any hens from those eggs... then I will need to decide what to breed with... Is the Black Copper Maran the best to breed with.... I am still learning this process.... or does it matter.... oh I have gotten myself so confused, lol
