I would LOVE dark brown eggs from my baby! But i'll be happy with either. Two of my three olive eggers have started laying....... Dark brown eggs. VERY disappointed.
Yours looks much more girly than mine do at the same age... here is a picture of mine this morning... The first is a FBCM/Wheaten Ameracauna mix, and the second two are pure FBCM... Sorry I wasn't more help...!
No your a lot of help =) It's good to be able to see chicks of the same age to compare to! I am having a lot of trouble with my ameraucanas I just got with her too
hard to tell sex yet: I had a terrible time with my pure BCM, all the boys popped out combs quick but then some of the girls grew some and I wasn't sure about them for a long time. Egg color will depend on if the roo is carrying brown egg genes and if she got that instead of blue genesI just got an olive egger, I am hoping female! She is young, only 6 1/2 weeks. She is a cross with a BC marans hen and an olive egger roo =D What color eggs could I expect? Dark green or chocolate colored eggs?
Yay I guessed right! haha thanks!Looks like a pullet to me, and it seems like she has a pea comb, so she'll probably lay olive colored eggs for you.
Congratulations!![]()
