In my MyPetChicken order I chose an Easter Egger as well as an Olive Egger. Both ended up green layers. Here's their eggs along with some of my others. The darker green is the one that was sold as an Olive egger, a marans ameraucana cross.

I would call the one on the left olive, while the one on the right is green. An EE can lay any color egg, although the ones I got from MPC all lay blue to bluish green, sometimes tipping more to one color than the other. The best blue egg layer I have is one I EE I bred myself. Her eggs are a true blue and are getting a bit paler over time but I don't see any green in it. (Her genetics are 50% EE, 25% Ameraucana and 25% Delaware)
I think for one of my projects next year I might try hatching EE eggs where my CL is the father and see what color blues I get.

Nice colors and photo!!
Too bad we don't know where the birds actually came from....I think MPC has breeders all over.

Yeah, I also have an Ameraucana for blue eggs she's not laying yet though. My last EE looked identical to my current one but laid creamy white eggs.

Oh now I can't wait for my OEs to start laying. I got two OE's from My Pet Chicken and they are now at 17 weeks so I have a few more weeks to wait. One of the OEs is a Maran x Ameraucana mix the other is a Cream Legbar x Welsummer mix. I hope I get the pretty dark green egg like yours.

My EE started around 21 weeks, my OE started at 25 weeks. I hope you get the colors you want!

This is a fantastic idea!!! I have a young CL cockerel (and three Cl pullets), and have been eyeing having EEs as well - I may have to steal this idea!!!
