maybe just the lighter egg color but you are right. All Auto sexable breeds you would think would be much more popular.they are an autosexing breed, dont know why they are not as popular?
Not to mention they are a very good looking chicken.

Not only that, they could be used as to bring more color(egg) to other breeds and to introduce the Autosexing traits, as its the second most dominant e allele out there(behind Extended Black E).. ER/e+ ER/eb ER/eWh birds all look like birchen ER/ER so introducing this trait to say Wyandottes or Orps is as easy as it getsAll Auto sexable breeds you would think would be much more popular.
But I don't think I need autosexing, cause you can feather sex or vent sex almost any breed of chicken when they are a couple days old
yeah,Feather sexing is a trait you have to breed for...don't count on that being accurate. Vent sexing is much more accurate.
Quote: So when making autosexing like a CCL x Blue Cuckoo would they breed true.
no, because CCL are e+(wildtype) and gold cuckoo(or did you mean Blue cuckoo? as in blue barred instead of black?) are ER/ER but since both are barred you will be able to tell the ER/e+ B/B roosters apart from the ER/e+ B/b+ hensSo when making autosexing like a CCL x Blue Cuckoo would they breed true.
