The Olive-Egger thread!

So these two ladies are supposed to be OE one is bantam sized and the other is standard they were the runts and left overs at a farm sale, $1 each who could say no? So waiting on their to start laying I think they are pretty gals what ever color they end up laying

Just hatched. Olive egger blue frizzle roo was the dad, the mom was Coco maran mix, The hatch is staggered because I didn't know if the roo was doing his business but he was, the others will be due in a few days. This is one chick diff angles.






here is what my other hens are laying, not fertile though.

My kids are 5 weeks old and their feathers are coming in nicely. I think they will be beauties. It's looking like 2 of the 5 might be boys. This is Shylo & Ollie. I hope their eggs will be as pretty as they are. I may keep one of the boys but it will be difficult giving one up.

Am I seeing lots of blue chicks or is that just the lighting? I am looking forward to my next hatch, should be 50% blue (finally have a blue cockerel added to the flock, let's hope he does his duty!)
