The Olive-Egger thread!

Ooooh, I can't wait to see what she lays! I have an EE/Welsummer that's feathering out just like a wellie too, but with a pea comb. I also have some olive eggers from Ameraucana eggs. (either wellie dad or olive egger dad)

What a pretty girl. I hope she lays exactly the color you want them to be.

OMG! Today is the day! She laid that first egg I've been waiting so long for!

Here it is: (Drumroll please...)

It's definitely olive, and it's the first green egg I've ever had.

Thanks for the good egglaying vibes! YAY!

Looks like my first Olive Egger (Gold Duckwing Araucana x Black Copper Marans) is going to be a BOY!

The feathers are really coming in now on my olive eggers. But the thing really confuses me is that the little grey (think she's a girl) is turning from her grey fluff into a black feathered bird. So she is only grey on her fluff and the feathers are black like her hatchmate that was a black chick at hatch. They will be three weeks tomorrow.

Okay folks I'm gonna have to brag here a little. Even though I myself don't like the darker olive eggs as most of you do. Their okay they help make a colorful egg basket, just don't want too many dark olive eggs though.
I have a young pullet that just started laying the other day (Thursday 10-28-10) I think, that lays a dark olive egg (almost as dark as a marans x EE cross). I don't know what is behind her breeding, she was TSC chick that came from Privett hatchery. If it is the one I think it is she has no muff, tuft, or beard on her, but does have a pea comb. She is kind of a silver duckwingish looking chicken.
Anyway this is my brag.
About the color of the one in the picture below, front right corner.
