The Olive-Egger thread!

Thanks! I am putting the marans roo back in the coop tonight if the storms hold off long enough. Musical coops! Then I can start shipping eggs again in a few weeks.

Which of the Ameraucanas laid the blue eggs or do most all colors of the breed lay eggs in that color range?

Those were a few of my blue wheaten eggs. Supposedly some lines of blacks (or BBS) lay the blue-est, but I don't raise them. I have a couple blacks in with my lavenders but the eggs look the same as my wheatens.

I'm looking to aquire an olive egger pullet (I'm obsessed)...the one "sexed" OE chick I got a few month ago on a swap ended up being a roo....go figure. I'm in Tampa, FLA. If you know of anyone that can help please PM....

Wow! Those eggs are great! I have four Olive eggers, I hatched from Alicefelldown, here on BYC. (well, I hatched 8, but 4 were roo's) They are the sweetest birds, and really beautiful! They are about 5 1/2 months old. They look really ready to lay, so any day now......
