Matt swooped down into the outsiders camp. He found Max, and picked him up in a paw. "You don't get it. It was a spell. She didn't know better. And now, she's probably dead." Matt smelled the air, then flickered his tongue out of his mouth. "No. Worse."​

Tawenhoek appeared. "NO! You should have listened!" She snarled. "It was a spell! What was and what wasn't was no longer clear to her!" Tawenhoek looked Star directly in the eyes and her eyes glowed red. "Don't blame her, blame yourself!" She roared, then disappeared.

"It wasn't her fault she exploded." Matt said, dropping max and moving towards Star. "Or that she was under the inflence of a spell. We must save her."
