Oh that sounds like such an interesting pet! I had budgies and cockatiels, but my poodle mentor growing up had all kinds of macaws and cockatoos. Never realised how heavy they were!!!

Yes!! Big birds! Cockatoos want constant attention.. want to be held and petted like cats. And when you dont hold and pet them continuously, they get really upset (which always means screaming). Mine was a sweet girl, but i ended up giving her to my friend who was a cat person, perfect match!

I love my tolbunt girl, so pretty. And my black crested white is such a ham!! I can't go to any sites or I'll end up ordering bantam easter eggers

This coming february i’m going to be ordering black-crested white polish from ideal poultry! Super excited, I owned two polish before, white crested black, but one died as a chick and the other died after flock integration. I didn’t quite know about the vaulted-skull thing and feel bad, but this time I plan to keep the polish separate from the main flock.
If allowed, here’s some photos of the polish I had before she died. She was very cute, and i’m excited and nervous about getting back into them.
