I see two more working on getting out. There are likely others but it is not easy to see into the Brinsea.
Huzzah!!!! Hatching never gets old!!!

Thank you for sharing this, Ron. What kind of egg trays do you use in your Brinsea? Do the chicks have much head room? One thing that I don't like about my Brinsea is that when I use egg cartons, the chicks don't have room or barely have enough room to pop the top of their egg. I like hatching upright but might try having them down for my hatch this week.

I moved the Dels to the Genesis 1588. I don't normally use the Brinsea for hatching because it is hard to clean. I wanted to give the Pita Pintas the best chance for hatching.

The trays are from and online place, I think QC poultry. They are not expensive so I bought two of them and cut them into different sizes. The one in the video fits one side of the octagon 40. I left the second tray in so that they could move over to it after they hatched. It worked out great!

The brinsea has nice covers over the fans so that the chicks can't get sucked in.

Two more hatched over night and I had to help one. It might not make it though. It is a 50 50 thing when they do not make it out after zipping.

Poor Odette is broody, so there was some unhappiness after this picture when I took the egg, but it's such a cute picture I had to post.
I bet she will be more friendly as a brood than some are. I have had wounds from them when collecting eggs...Not Pita Pintas though.

I am at 15 pita pintas and 12 delawares now. Two eggs may still hatch, one pita pinta and one delaware. I had to set up a second brooder.

Definitely -- she is a very mellow broody. She comes down to eat and drink, etc. She has been broody for a while but has never been aggressive -- mostly this morning she was just sad and made little distressed noises when she realized that the egg was gone, and I felt bad!
