I have 3 Pita Pinta chicks that hatched yesterday from my Pita Pintas I got as chicks from Greenfire farms. My hens are new layers but I was too excited to wait until older to try to hatch their eggs.

They are 7 1/2 months old. The just started laying last month.

This was the feeding frenzy last night lol they are one week old tonight. I managed to get 9 out of 10 pita in the photo!

My pitas moved to their outdoor brooder space this afternoon. They have 8’ x 2’ L shaped area under my hens roost. This should work until they are old enough to mix with the big girls. They will have access to a small run space also once they get just a little bigger.

There is a 3 day difference in age between the Dominique mix chicks and the pitas, but the pitas are feathering out faster. They will be 2 weeks old Monday-Tuesday. Despite the below freezing night temperatures on Friday evening they are thriving.

Wow, even as chicks they are gorgeous. Please keep posting pics as they grow.

I really want some of them, but I have 35 and really don't need any more. We'll see how long I can deny myself

They are beautiful. I will keep posting for sure.

I had to make room in my flock for these. I will probably sell a few more pullets as these grow and I see how many cockerels I end up with. I would be happy if I end up with 4-5 pullets. It will be hard to decide which ones to keep and which to sell. I don’t think I will keep all ten of the pitas.
