My hatch took 3 days from start to finish. Greenfire Farms eggs

I woke this morning to chick # 10!!

I am very pleased with getting 10 chicks out of the 16 eggs I received. The post office was not kind to the box so I was a little worried at first.

Brice, from Sunbird Farms, got back to me this morning. All the pita I received are from the Greenfire line. I got eggs from 2 different breeding pens, but they all originated from Greenfire.
Do any of you still have birds from the first import? Brice said they used to but no longer have any. I may want to trade hatching eggs in the future.

I got a couple of photos of the black beak chick when Ingot home from work today. I wonder if this is some kind of birth mark?
The breeder told me he hadn’t seen a chick like this.

It’s very uniform that’s for sure.

I have 3 Pita Pinta chicks that hatched yesterday from my Pita Pintas I got as chicks from Greenfire farms. My hens are new layers but I was too excited to wait until older to try to hatch their eggs.
