That is precious!
A mama bear and a paintball gun and an all night standoff with repeat sneak attacks = faverolle, pp, olandsk dwarf and a few layers eatenbut since we have started taking food out in the morning and storing in the rest in the garage AND shooting four different bears ( we know it was four because of the pink and yellow paint in their butts) we have been nice and quiet![]()

We only have black bear right now unless the idiot idea to reintroduce grizzly to the Sierra Nevada goes through. The problem with these bears are people don't secure garbage. They are no
Longer properly hibernating .
Haha poor mama lol. Looks like a nice sunny day there, totally different story here. 11 degrees and snow pouring down
Cute!!! I have 4 Pita Pinta eggs underneath my nicer of 2 broody black Langshan. I'm hoping that she hatches at least 2 of them. I miss having a mama with babies!
I hatched way over 100 Pita Pinta chicks last year. I currently have 21 chicks in a brooder and 32 more eggs in the incubator. I only give a few eggs to my broodies because the ones that have gone broody so far this year are pullets & first timers. Sometimes I give them eggs and come to regret it. The pullet that I gave 4 developing eggs to last night squashed one and I found a dead, bloody Pita Pinta chick in her enclosure today. It looked like it was 3-4 days away from hatching. So sad!Ok sorry if this is a weird question, but everyone seems to be putting only a few eggs to hatch. Is it because you only have a pair or two of PP's or what? Again, sorry if that's a stupid question
