The Pita Pinta Asturiana

Pics
I am pretty sure that my PP is the one laying the pretty pink egg with white speckles.   I need to post a pic of it.

One of my pita pintas lays eggs that are pinkish; the other one lays browner eggs. It's so cute how their eggs are different colors.

@PetRock
...the video is great!  They are the most wonderful chicks.  Those snowy white ones are amazing looking.

@Flowers of Abba
  Good to see you here and on the HAL thread.  How is that human baby doing?

@ronott1
...I am not sure if I am on your list...I know I asked to be on Debi's.   You can move me off of your PP list and put me on your Arkansas Blue list though.  How are your NYD HAL babies coming along?   I am able to tell the sex on mine pretty well...looks like the tide turned and pullets outnumber cockerels for this group

My human baby is a chunky little lady! Almost mobile and I'm sure not rushing her lol. Thanks for asking!

On pp egg color I am surprised at the variance in color. I have only colored egg layers in their coop so that I can hatch pure pp and I was freaking out wondering if my ccl or u of a started laying a cream egg! They were not haha. Isolation test... So I have two pullets left after the bear problems this last year and sometimes get three eggs in the am. Someone's timer is on turbo or something . And sometimes they're a creamy beige and sometimes I looks like a Rhode Island Red egg?!? Fairly brown. Anyone else?

Thank you for the report on your little one! So you only have 2 Pita Pinta pullets and 1 cockerel left? Are you planning on hatching eggs soon?

I'll try to take a pic of a tray of Pita Pinta eggs that are in the incubator so you can see the range of colors.

That's exciting news! Monet asked me if Trinkets Baby survived the bear attack. I was afraid to ask! I look forward to hearing how your hatch goes!

Trinkets baby's?, bear attack? what?! lol
We have a Cream Legbar mix hen that we hatched from eggs we got from chiqita. Her name is Trinket and she is a sweetie! I hatched a group of Pita Pinta/Cream Legbar & Cream Legbar mix chicks last year including one of Trinket's eggs. Kandi bought several Pita Pinta chicks and several of the mix chicks from me last spring. I mistakenly included Trinket's baby in the group and I had told my daughter that we would keep her. Kandi has taken special care of her and she has turned out to be a good girl. She will have to fill us in on the details of the bear attack. Monet was happy to hear that the bear didn't get Trinket 2.
