Pretty. Dang pretty. The second post, showing that pullet? Nice Rock shape coming along there.

However, like most of these specialty varieties, I'll call them, look at the legs. That won't work. Gotta be yella. That's a major struggle it seems to me.

When looking at the Glossary of Technical Terms out of the American Standard of Perfection the only difference I see between Edging & Lacing is Enging is more narrow and in my opinion the proper term when describing the Blue varieties up to the Standard is Lacing and should be used as this is what has been set by the Standard.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say "hi." I have been a lurker for awhile now. BYC is addicting even if you don't have chickens yet. Finally bought a nice piece of land and hatching eggs from Fred's hens should arrive next week. I'm very excited to see the results. All of my neighbors have hatchery stock so they are excited to see the difference. The previous owner raised horses and Beagles so there are a lot of options for breeding pens and runs. Just going to start small...

When you show them birds like this, they'll want some. You'll be able to sell a few birds, I'm sure.

Hopefully we will get a handful to hatch. Otherwise I'll be looking for chicks or a trio. I took my F1s (girls 6 and 3) to the neighbors to feed their birds and I can tell a huge difference between them and the ones you guys have been posting here. I'm starting small now but I wanted to get the "real thing" from the go and hopefully help support you breeders by buying directly from the source.

Anyone here know anything about "Nutrena Feather Fixer" feed. ? I had $2 off coupons and that was the only feed Country Max had. It is 18% protein but the bag says it has "Mite Protection technology".

I have a friend who can only eat my eggs. Store bought eggs make him sick. I am concerned. I haven't opened it yet.

Read all about it on their site. There have been a few threads here on it and the feedback is a bit mixed. Some people like it well enough. By studying the contents list, most of the "ingredient gurus" here on BYC feel the secret sauce is likely DE.

I doubt NatureWise is into animal protein.
