Chandi glanced at Valiki, "Yes.." he said, confused at why she thought she was allowed on his perch. But there was something about her that made him not want to tell her no.

"Oh, just thinking about my brother. He died a long time ago when a hunter shot him." Valiki said and half Shrugged, trying to look as if it didn't bother her anymore

"I am... sorry to hear that," Chandi said. He could tell it still bothered her and his wing acted seemingly of it's own accord and wrapped around her, pulling her a little too close for his liking.

Getting no resistance from her he started to preen the top of her head, then realized what he was doing and pulled back, folding his wings tightly. "I am sorry," he said and took off for the trees.

Valiki looked after him and then after a moments hesitation, she flew after him.

Chandi had heard her and knew he had the flock, but the flock was asleep and he would be back soon, he just needed to get himself in check.
