"Neyney worked for them too. She scoped out the place in her free time." Karan looked back down at her book. A rustle from a nearby tree distracted Karan. She quickly recovered and looked back down. Neytiri was kneeling in a tree, pretty high up, notching an arrow into her bow. She kept her eyes fixed on the ground. Neytiri pulled the string back, aiming at a deer. She pressed down on the trigger, and the arrow shot out of the bow, striking the deer in the side. Neytiri slung her bow over her shoulder and dropped from the tree, landing unharmed, beside the deer.

"Nice shot." Eric said from near the cave.

"Thanks." She murmured, turning her head to look at him. She took the meat and placed it in her pouch, then took a few bones for her dogs.

He grinned and went to the river.

The sun begun to fall, signaling sundown. Neytiri lit a match to wood and begun to cook the meat. Karan was sitting beside her, one hand clutching Neytiri's, cutting up kale and lightly salting it. They both were using spices that Neytiri had stolen from the power earlier that day. Neytiri sprinkled a little paprika on the meat, while Karan cooked the kale to make kale chips. (my mom
makes kale chips, they're REALLY good)

Austin sat in a tree, watching the sunset.

Neytiri whispered something to Karan. Karan didn't look up from the cooking kale, but nodded. Neytiri cast a glance at Austin.

He happened to look over at her and smiled.

She smiled back. Karan leaned over to Neytiri and murmured something. Neytiri shook her head, whispering something back. Karan nodded. "Dinner's done!" Karan called.

Eric emerged from the trees, heading towards the others. Austin jumped down from the tree and sat beside Ney.

Karan gave both of them a plate with deer meat and kale chips. "Hey, Karan." Neytiri said, turning. "What?" Neytiri opened her pouch and revealed several pieces of candy. Karan's eyes lit up.
