Hopefully the news article gets a good response, and the things that should have been done, are done!
Just wondering, how is the poor dog who was attacked doing?
I too dreaded opening this thread as I followed Jody's other threads about these dogs closely.
Soooo glad to hear the dog is going to be okay.
I hope the newspaper follows through and prints the article and justice is done finally. I'm an animal lover but I agree that these
dogs need to be put down.... now with three it's even more of a "pack" It's also very upsetting that these dogs are being bred.
Jody, I can't believe how stupid your neighbors are. You say they have more money than brains, but it doesn't seem like they have a lot of either if they are stealing animals from your property. Do you have any clue why they stole your cat? Why they stole your friend's horse? Isn't horse thieving a capital offense in Nebraska?
I had never heard of this breed of dog until this post and had to look it up.
Apparently, the type of behavior you describe is common with the breed and can only be handled by owners who are consistent and in control. Obviously your neighbors are not suited to handle this breed of dog. It really isn't the dogs fault, they only act according to their nature. Its the owners responsibility to control their animals.
Here's a link to the site I found, maybe you can share it with your dumb neighbors.

The cat is really friendly, and she probably just liked him a lot. The horse they were "borrowing" to show a visiting farrier. The lady that owned the horse didn't want to press chges because a friend of hers was an accomplice in the "borrowing." The horse was not mine, but she lived on my property.
