Hello Blue_Myst! What's up?

Eh, nothing much. Chick dust is finally gone, thank goodness. I made the mistake of putting the brooder next to all the shoes and jackets. Talk about a cleaning nightmare.

How about you? What's new?

Ee, sounds like one!

Not too much here, work mostly, just got back a lil while ago.

Plus we have to fence the new goat yard.

Imagine taking 2 dozen powdered donuts and shaking them in the air, and you get pretty close

Since when are Saturdays relaxing anymore, eh?

Did you get more goats?

If it's any consolation, at least the ground is muddy. It'll be easy to dig!

The same here, too. A long weekend is an opportunity to get more stuff done!

Sounds great!

Do you have some projects planned with him?

Mini goats!

Maybe you could help me formulate an argument so my housemates will allow me to get some

True!

He's a Nigerian dwarf, hopefully he'll grow to be our herd sire. He's just goatling now, a rather expensive one at that.
My project is Mini Manchas. LaMancha's are excellent milkers and etc, at least the good lines, but they are very large. What the minis are is an attempt to keep the milk production of one in a smaller size. More affordable and profitable.

Not everyone wants goats that are the size of small horses!!

Anyway I can!

Mini Manchas would be awesome. It would definitely open the mini market a bit more for those wanting milking goats. It's probably one of the reasons I don't have minis right now--they would be cute, but wouldn't give me as much milk as I would need.

Mmmm . . . Mini horses and mini Manchas--it would be paradise!

The Dwarfs are just too tiny, but adorable beyond words. We started with those and quickly realized that they did not produce enough milk. Ya, Mini's are starting to pop up everywhere, if your looking for a smaller goat with a good amount of milk, they'd definitely be a good choice.

Yes it would!
