why not? Aren't you celebrating your countries birthday? Canada Day is a HUGE thing in our family and the local town puts on a huge celebration that seems to get bigger every year! lol

we just dont, oh BTW, it isnt the countery birthday, but it IS the day that 12 states signed the Declaration of independance,when the USA became free was a few years after.

why 12 states? because NY was traveling!

It's probably easiest to celebrate the 4th of July even though it wasn't the actual 'birthday' of the US. The Constitution we have today wasn't agreed upon until 1789, and before that the Articles of Confederation were used until the government under it was found unsatisfactory.

Well, anyway, happy 4th, everyone!
