Hello and welcome to Kingdom of the Gryphons, the Gryphon warrior roleplay!
What is Kingdom of the Gryphons?
Kingdom of the Gryphons is one of the roleplays found around the Games, Jokes, and Fun section of the forum. Like other roleplays, there is a story that is begun by the original poster. The other members add on to the story, and continue it. Members can also start an event on their own; such as an attack, a storm, etcetera. Remember to keep it realistic; for example, there can't be an attack without even minor injury of some sort, and a Gryphon can't magically come back to life should he or she die.

How do I get started?
To get started, you are required to fill out a form of what you want your character to be like, such as the one displayed below. Examples of what to place there are also displayed.
Name: The name of your Gryphon.
Gender: The gender of your Gryphon.
Rank: What rank you want your Gryphon to be in the clan, e.g., warrior, chick.
Appearance: What your Gryphon looks like, e.g., markings, build.
Personality: What your Gryphon's personality is like, how he/she acts toward other birds.
Abilities: What is your Gryphon notably good at, e.g., can fly higher than most, can run very quickly.
History: Where the bird came from, how he/she got here, and what his/her's history was like.
Other: Other notable information about the bird goes here.
BYC Username: Your username, so we can keep track of who owns who's bird(s).
Breed(Optional): What mix your Gryphon is. E.g., Lion and Bald Eagle. You have to stick with mixing birds of prey with predatory land animals.

Are there any rules?
Absolutely, there are several important rules you need to know before playing.
-All BYC rules apply.
-Stay kind.
-Chatspeak (lyk th15) and speaking in all caps (LIKE THIS) is not tolerated. It is difficult and frustrating to read. Caps can be tolerated in small amounts, like when shouting very loudly about something.
-No cursing or inappropriate topics. Those who violate this rule will be reported to the administrator, and quite possibly banned.
-Stay online as much as possible. It's saddening and difficult to manage when someone joins, and disappears for a long time. After a certain period of time without posting, your character will eventually have to be erased.
-HAVE FUN!
Note: Names should be two combined words. E.g., EagleTalon. We have a theme going on.

Choose your rank
-Leader (that's me, and the position is not available to anyone else.)
-Leader's Bodyguard (You fight opposing clans, but your sole job is protecting the leader.)
-Deputy (If the leader is injured, that's where the deputy comes to temporarily replace the leader. While not on Deputy duty, this bird is just another warrior.)
-Mentor (You teach and coach the warriors, and ready them for battle.)
-Warrior (You help to fight opposing clans.)
-Medicine Gryphon (You help whoever gets injured.)
-Broody (Is basically a 'stay-at-home mother'. She does not usually help to fight. If one broody is injured, another broody will babysit her offfspring.)
-Chick (Just a young Gryphon. To remain realistic, you must have a mother to be chick. Even if the mother is deceased.)

Environment of the Kingdom
- The camp. The camp itself sits on a gigantic plateau-like area, on the side of a mountain. The weather is fair all Spring and Summer, but can get heavy rainstorms during the cold Autumn and Winter months. Houses are long huts built from mud, weeds, trees, and some even have stones built into the walls for durability. Houses are built under trees for protection from strong winds. There is a convenient manmade trail that the birds use to leave camp and go to the ground. Some houses can also be caves.
- The swamp. There is a cool, marshy area in the forest below. There are important medicinal plants that grow there.
-The lake. There is a beautiful lake that is quite a ways away, but can be seen from the camp's overlook. Wild mallards sometimes visit, and plovers roam the shores.
-SparkClan. There is a clan of dragons, but is quite a distance away. The Gryphons avoid this spot, in fear of being killed.
