Hey, that's around the time it starts to get interesting!! Back in early history the people didn't really do anything. ALthough the world wars, slavery, that sort of stuff, it really irks me. Grr.... I'm glad they got rid of slavery.

Have you heard of the game Sims Castaway? I reckon it's pretty cool. It's like living on a island and surviving on what grows there and what you can catch, fish up or dig up.

both, i don't really know what i'm talking abotu since i don't know if there actually is one.

Whatdaya mean do nothing, not only was it the foundations of our history but it was also a very nice, peaceful and reading-worthy lifestyle!

Okay. I guess everyone's gotta have something to believe in, wether it's below or above us

Personally, I have no idea what I believe in. Myself?

I'm sure they were peaceful times, but what about all the things we enjoy today? They would have no electricity! No real clothes besides stuff they stitched from grass! Although if that was the case I guess they wouldn't have needed to worry about being robbed

It's a great game!

Each of your characters has bars that show their happiness, hunger, tiredness, cleanliness etc. and they have to sing/eat something/sleep/wash in the river etc. to make sure the bars stay above 0. Or they die. 0.o (but there are revival elixirs you can make from some rare plants on the islands, so don't worry if that happens!)

I meant in the ... ahem, spiritual realm. I don't believe in ghosts. Even though I have one on WC

Of course, of course, but that's different! I don't doubt we could make astounding constructions without electricity, but what would we do in our spare time?! Construct more buildings? Oh no, wait, I have it - we'd be doing all the chores that would take us three times as long without modern technology

Well, it's a Sims game, one of those professional 'real' ones, so yes. I would say it's worth it though... I saw it on discount the other day. Half price or somethin' like that, but I didn't have any money on me.

blah, doing those chores would give us a purpose in like, what use would we be if we pressed a couple of buttons a button a day and everything was done for us by advanced technology?

i;ll see if i can find it next time i go to wal mart.

Think of all the successful people nowadays, the business people, the engineers, even the artists. They wouldn't really have any time to dedicate to their trade if every day they had to spend hours collecting water, firewood and grinding their own flour, etc.

Oh yes, what is Walmart like? I've never even seen one before. I recognise the name though.

I'm checking out RR. It seems more busy than usual tonight, yesterday nobody was posting at all around this time! I had to resort to reading old news items from earlier this year.

I guess you could be an animal feeder or a clothes washer, but that job would get a bit tedious soon

RR is full of random, interesting little threads

Yeah, we dug up an old coin in our back garden one day. One of those huge, bulky ones. I have no idea what we did with it, or what era it was from 0.o Paper money is cool. It's so much easier to carry around than coins. And they seem like more money too - it's a kinda like perception thing. If you have five dollar coins it doesn't seem like as much as when you've got a five dollar note

I see. How intriguing. We've got lots and lots of different department stores over here... you heart of Kmart? Big W? Target? I would even count Coles and Woolies, but they sell mostly food.

The year sixes that were playing Lady Gaga are now causing a racket and giggling high-pitchedly. Me and a friend of mine couldn't help wondering what was going on! And then when they'd finally calmed down (probably too much sugar) they started talking about us in quiet whispers. It was kinda weird. o.0 They probably thought nobody could hear them...
