Its not ridiculous, its something that has been bothering me for quite some time.

I'm almost at a legal age when I can get my student license, but even so I have no money

One cannot learn to fly with just over $1000 in the bank!

So I've started putting some of it in savings, where they give me high interest

How many hours does it take, or study and practise and such?

A lot

you need your ground school, then so many hours flying with an instructor, solo and then with passengers. Its about a 10 000 + bill

Wow. Lots of work.

I set my savings goal for $10,000 : the bank basically takes a set amount of money out of my access account every month until it reaches that target.

It's going to take me years

I wonder who I'd take on flights. My parents, certainly not, they'd be way too busy, but there ARE some people I promised I'd take up if I ever got my license...

By the way, when you're flying to a certain airport, do you need a permit?
