Southern folk crack me up. Aside from the comments about the snow almost everything you've said could be applied to any rural area.

What's with the John Deere line? Deere is an Illinois company.

I used to eat those when I was s kid in California. A Southern transplant, maybe?
 
Okay, I've lived in 13 states, and I have never heard of a moon pie.

I googled it. I now know what a moon pie is.

We're close to Pittsburgh, PA so we've got our own set of rules and way of speaking, LOL.
