Each time she felt worse. She pulled back her sleeve to look at the fresh burn that started at her shoulder and went down her arm. She knew the man would do worse to her if she didn’t get him what he wanted. Quickly pulling the necklace off the shelf she slipped out of the nearest door that led her into a desolated alley.
