~*~The Shifting War - RP (Role Play)~*~

Julie shifted her weight. "You know, if you don't want to hear that speech, it's probably not the best idea to go around telling strangers that you're blind."
"What else would I say when questioned of why I don't look at them, look over their shoulder or otherwise show that I am?" Alice questioned then shook her head, returning her eyes to Julie's though she didn't know for certain if she had or not. "You must be new around here."

Asher narrowed his eyes a bit. He had a funny feeling about where this was going, and it would either be down the road to official absurdness, or a road he knew much better. "Uh huh," He said rather bluntly in reply to Khloe's first statement. "No, I haven't heard stories. But I have thought about it" Ash said, as if it made complete sense. It would, he figured if she on the slightest, of chance was a shifter herself- odds he utterly and completely doubted

Now it was Kholes turn to narrow her eyes, "So have I, they are, interesting, don't you think...?" She didn't actually realize what he had meant by what he had said, being that she didn't think there was any possibility that he was one too, the thought didn't even enter her mind, she was just doing what she had so many times before - walking the fine line between mischievous flirting, and reveling what she was.

"Yes, but I think it could be more so" Asher stated casually, completely ignoring her change of expression. He hadn't had much oportunity to 'socialize' with many compatible people in the last few days, and was rather enjoying their conversation himself. Even if there was the slightest touch of awkwardness about the choice of topic, but he didn't really care to be honest.

"I dunno. Did you see that? There was a bird or a squirrel ir something." Julie's expression grew even more sour as she kept talking. "No, I am not. I've lived here longer than you've been alive, okay? Why would you assume that I'm new here?"
Alice frowned and shook her head "Well maybe because you don't know the local 'celebrity" She said bitterly then sighed and turned her head away "Because I don't recognize your voice and I was beginning to think I knew everyone's voice, even though I don't know their names. Because I come out here every chance I get and yet I have never met anyone else out here. Pick one or go with all of the above."

Khloe looked away, she wanted to tell him so badly, or at least show him, she hated always hiding who she truly was... She had done it once before, just something small, something she could pretend was just a trick of the light - Her eye color. She had let them change from the light green they were to amber, the eye color of her cheetah form. Khloe sighed slightly, keeping her gaze away from his, she also didn't want to scare him off... But, it was so temping, just a tiny slip up...

Ash looked up ahead, not minding that the girl had decided to go quiet. He didn't consider the fact that her silence may have had something to do with what he had just said- it probably did sound a bit strange, seeing as she was only a human. But he was not. That was the problem with being a shifter, it could be amazing fun scaring the living day lights out of people with his leopard form, but he also hated the fact that there was so much secretive about the deal. And he didn't even know if there were others out there who shared his long lasted suffering.
Only when Khloe sighed did Asher look back at her, suddenly aware of her presence again.

Julie snorted derisively. "Celebrity? Fat Chance. Just because something bad happened in your life? That doesn't automatically make you famous. I watched my best friend, my sister, and my cousin all die before I shot the culprit myself. I'm no celebrity." She had decided to go with all of the above. "And I'm glad I helped bring reality crashing down on you. I'm surprised I haven't seen you here yet. I'm out here all the time, seeing as I live out here."

Alice looked towards Julie again then shrugged "Bad word choice then, certainly seems to be a celebrity when you can't go anywhere without people noting who you are and acting like you can't hear them talk about you. Sorry about your family." She said sincerely then tilted her head down "You live in the woods?"

Khloe looked back up at him, and wasn't able to hide the note of sadness, longing in her voice as she asked, "Have you ever thought, that they, shifters, could be real...?" She had decided that his response would determine whether or not she would revile her true self, and his reaction to that, well, she'd just have to cross that bridge when she came to it.
