The Sizzle Thread!

Thank you. She has been a great addition to our flock, she is very shy, which I understand is typical, but she is also very sweet and loving. She loves to talk and cuddle.

We purchased 3 chicks from @country last month. They are all doing well and are gorgeous! I am totally new to sizzles, and this frizzles sizzle has me baffled. I believe it to be a pullet. The smooth sizzle we bought is an obvious pullets, and the Silkie we bought is obviously a roo. The backwards feathers makes it harder to determine on the Frizzle Sizzle. Can you all tell me, as well as what color to call her? She is developing Brown spots on her neck.

Here are a few more pictures of Eclipse. Her comb looks like a hen. You will see her next to our blue silkie I believe to be a Rooster. It's just the little spikes that throw me off. I suspect those spikes are because she is frizzles though. Opinions? Hen or Roo?

its hard to sex silkies and especially Sizzles at that young of an age the only thing that would be a good guesss would be to look at personality rooster seem to look after the group while the hens/pullets look for food or rooster will flap their wings more to show off... these are just a few example :)

I now have some of his daughters and grand daughters who are also frizzled silkies and just bought a smooth sizzle young cockerel. Will breeding him to my filkies produce both frizzled and smooth sizzles, silkies and frizzled silkies? TIA! Pic of the new smooth and one of Swiffer's daughters...
