Silver, I wouldn't just use tie downs. I'd personally consider using a net of sorts? OR a 2x4 cage to hold the crates in place with hinge and locks to still be able to access the crates, tubs, or what ever you choose to use. The bigger tubs would allow you to squish them in the back of the truck as tight as you can. I might consider renting a small tow behind uhaul, or if you are using a uhaul already, I would consider leaving room in the Uhaul just for the birds. When we would move, my dad was real big on strapping everything in the uhaul so things would not shift. Was a pain in the butt, but we never had anything break either.

Ok... I guess I should do the egg collection... I also need to check Skeeters current eggs. Oh, I hope she'll sit the whole 4 weeks... Her first week of sitting was a waste. I should have checked the eggs at day 3-4. I am sure these eggs are good though. I should look at building a mini bator just in case...

I need to find the new hidey hole also. Only 6 eggs yesterday. Where of where could they be now...

When we were kids, my da would bring these huge remnant rings of paper, tape them to the walls and WAALAA! Home made wall paper. I do not do that with these two heathens. They get the color wonder.

When I was 3 I drew a heart on our bathroom wall. Our wall was decoupaged with 40s magazines, and it took them 8 years to notice. I think that was about the worst thing I did though...

I would not put them in the back of a uhaul as they can die from that .. a guy is GA is facing charges for placing his dog in one now .... or was .. they might have dropped them ... well the ones that came up from ga as a present from my sister came in a small wire cage in the back seat of a car but then there were only 3 of them and the ducks came in a box also riding in the back seat of the car .... But we are talking 50 plus (maybe even more than that if i keep getting left up alone to shop ) so way bigger quantity of birds than a back seat can handle
