I want a black JG roo now.......that hen's such a good mommy, it'd be nice to have some more JG's , and she's not too bad lookin either........and a nice Porcelain d'Uccle roo too.......like I need any more though. Gots to sell these Brahma Bantam crosses first.....they're so cute, and loud..........

I thought my old EE went missing a while back.....no, she's been on a nest for about 2 1/2 weeks now. She was under some old feed sacks I guess. Poor girl's so old I think I'll just let her do it because it's probably the last thing she'll do. But last time I did that the mama dropped dead...maybe it's just a new culling method for the old ladies.......

oh well, i'll stop rambling...back to studying Gilgamesh.

Is 10 roosters to 62 hens way too much? 3 are bantams and 3 are young and kinda just hang out at the back of our property with their siblings and don't cause any trouble.......

My mom wants to butcher all of them...I only want one to go though....5 of them are so sweet and good to the hens, and the other is a d'Anver who is so much fun to mess with...and cuddle. She says they crow too much, but it's really only the one that I would be fine with culling. I don't wanna lose my baby boys!

I have heard breeders usually keep a 10 TO 1 ration of hens to rooster and normal is 5 to 1 hens to roo but im not sure about that .. not even sure who told me .. probably my sister

The lady I got the SFs from said the babies I got are only half brothers and sisters- sharing the same dad but not the same mom .. will it be okay to breed them then ? or when I need to being in new blood ?
