Congrats MsB!! I've canned a lot in my life but I made pickles for the first time this year! A lot cheaper than buying them in the store!

My neighbor makes such AMAZING pickles and brings us a jar every Christmas. They're sooooooo good.

My mom's always tried to make pickled eggs (a really good use for the itty birth d'Anver eggs) and they were great, but we could never get them to seal right........

Aww I think so too. He looks identical to my son at that age! He's such a good baby!! He rarely cries except when he's hungry and he smiles really easily. He's only 5 months old but he was giving me those sweet little baby kisses! I love it!!

Aww! My bff's baby sister is like that. She just learned to high-five. It's so cute!

Well, my son was living with them but long story short, Lauren is an only child. She gets what she wants when she wants and, it's difficult to live with a parent when you have a child but even worse when the parents aren't yours like in my son's case. He's come down to stay with us a few times to get away but he went back again tonight

He knows it's not a good situation but he loves Lauren and of course Carson. Good thing is that my son and I have made up after a long 2 years and we talked tonight and made plans to get together for Carson's first Halloween and Thanksgiving. I still don't think his living with Lauren and her parents is a good thing for him and he might be back down here soon.

Yeah, I made extra from this batch so i'd have enough to eat lol. I got sick of making it all the time for my bro, and apples needed to be used (good harvest this year), so now he can just have it whenever he wants, and at least made a dent in the bags and bags and boxes of apples........

Dang, I wish you lived closer I'd take loads of those apples off your hands. We want to make cider but the neighbor's apple trees are long gone and I I'm not about to buy any anywhere nearby. I wanted to buy a few apple trees this year but couldn't find any I could afford.

I know exactly what it is like to live with another persons parents and so does my BF.
It IS hard!
We had some money issues (still have them but they are better now) when my son was born and we moved in with my parents. BF and my parents had a fight and BF and I split. I lived with my parents and he with his mom. All was mended and we went to live with his mom. I had enough of living with other people and he did too so we saved and bought a house.
We really struggled with me staying home with our son and BF being in and out of work.
Now we barely get by but we get by together and are happier living on our own. We are finally our own family unit.

Oh I've lived with my mom when I got divorced. It was not easy because she wanted to do things her way and I wanted to do mine. My ds and his gf lived together for a while on their own before Carson came along when they had their own place in Lansing. My ds had a job with the state right out of high school and he had plenty of money and he wanted to do things on the weekend but she kept running home to Sheridan on the weekends. They moved in with her parents 2 years ago and it's not a good situation. The thing is, her parents are very well off so she's not going to want to leave that!

I'll just keep hoping things continue to go well with all of us so far.
