Good, I am very bummed over her decision...

Anyway. House is bombed. The dogs are dipped. The chicken coops are cleaned and now I need to finish all the wash, all the blankets are getting a quick wash and dry. Nothing is coming out of the laundry room until it has been cleaned. I put ALL the blankets and sheets from ALL 5 beds, and ALL that needs to be done before bed time. UGH! I did start a load before we left the house, so...

Ok... Guess what I discovered... My yellowish silkie has PINK SKIN ALL OVER! Yup... I made sure that the eggs I would get from Snowbunny were only fertilized by Roger. It has the best fluff of all of them too. Oh, so bummed...

Well I just left her house and all is not lost yet.

That's too bad about the Silkie. In fact it sucks. Right now I have 3 showgirls, 2 speckled Sussex, and 1 Silkie in the brooder.

Yes, totally sucks about it, but what do I care really. There are plenty of people out therre with silkies with red combs and wattles. LOL. Ok, I do care, but I just will be very careful of what I breed it to. SO, I hope the silkies due to hatch on the 25th come out right... AND NOT UGGO! LOL. There was a show girl roo in the pen, and he was the boss.

ANY WAY! I was doing some looking, and seems that this type of thing does happen on ocassion. Both Roger and Snowbunny just happen to have that recessive gene I guess.

Well, today is the slow day on the forum. Busy busy people. LOL.

I have to get me a nap. My sheets and blankets are dry at least. HEEHEE. I have to work tonighte, and there is no way at my tender old age that I can do 20 hours and not feel the ill effects.

I got 14 eggs today from 10 laying hens. I have 14 hens that can lay, but 2 are sitting and 2 are with babies... SO, only 10 hens laying. BUT guess what... Neighbor only got 2 eggs today... I wonder where the rest of his eggs went... HMMMM. HAHAHAHA. Little feathered fuzzy butts are paying for the feed they steal from me. HEHE.
